Nick passed away on October 24, 2002 after a battle with cancer. He attended the Desert Sun School from 1972 to 1976. A friend of his wrote the poem below.

Nick loved mushy poems
if they came from friends
He was loyal and forgiving
He was a potent lover
Leaving senseless those, whose
senses he evoked so ravenously

Quietly sad
Forever sad
Frayed edges on a void
nothing could ever fill
Gave out and tore
Ripped through him until

He must be smiling now
